My name is Kristin, and I currently reside in the indescribably beautiful Big Sky state of Montana. This blog, coffeeandwoodsmoke, is my creative outlet. It is my inspiration. It allows me to share the things I love—food, gardening, photography, art, music, yoga, meditation, nature, wildlife, wildflowers (and, of course, coffee and woodsmoke)—with others.
As I explain in my opening post, I had thought about starting a blog for years. But it took time before I summoned up the courage and initiative to actually put pen to paper (or more accurately, fingers to keyboard). I was inspired by a song, a friend, and the many wonderful blogs that I comb through daily. I don’t have an end goal for this blog; instead, I am enjoying its evolution.
And what I’ve found so far is that I really, really enjoy the blogging process. The fusion of writing and art and food, of discovering and sharing. Bringing this blog into existence has been a gift: it has made me more aware of the daily little details that make up my life. It has made me more present with the ones and the things that I love. This blog is a tribute about, to, and for them.
