on fog and topographic maps

  1. Kristin, this is an inspiring account. I found myself wondering whether I could face a challenge like that with the positive, can-do attitude that you and your fellow/sister trekkers displayed. I know it must have been scary, but you persevered. It made me so happy to see the clear view after the fogged-up, impassable scene! Your photos are hauntingly beautiful. Thanks for sharing this.

    1. Thank you, Aunt Marian. Sometimes it’s easier to forge through landscapes that are tangible and formidable than the projections we conjure up in our minds about the path ahead. I’m holding onto this experience for guidance and comfort in the days ahead!

  2. What a wondeful read, thank you for sharing your experience (something I would never have the courage to do myself!) But I do agree with your approach to the start of a new year, one foot in front of the other! Wishing you all the best dear Kristin!
