      1. Thank you so much, Aunt Marian! I’ve had so many thoughts about this topic swirling around my head and this was an attempt to get just a few of them down in a way to make sense. And the waffle tower—probably my most effortful food styling effort yet! Fortunately they were delicious enough to make it worthwhile.

  1. I’m there. I’m there with you in Montana as I read this and look at the pics of leaves on the ground. Keep sharing Montana with us in such a poetic way like @mariansandmaier described. It truly puts you there with you. And the waffles. Well, I was sitting at the table waiting on my plate! 🤣

  2. I savour your words, Kristen, each blog post. I couldn’t agree more, our happiness and filling of fulfillment lies in our connection to our Earth. I’ve never tried teff flour but your photos are making it mighty tempting.

    1. Thank you, Annika ❤️ I’ve been thinking about this connection so much lately—both as a general matter, and especially because I’ve noticed how dramatic a difference it makes for me. And hooray for teff!!! I hope you are able to try it and love it as much as I do!
